Two motorcyclists have been killed when their bike hit a deer on a freeway in Ohio, officials claimed.

Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a news release that troopers responded to the accident in Wyandot County, about 75 miles from Columbus, Ohio, late at night on Saturday, June 25.

Arriving on the scene at 11:40 p.m., troopers said they observed the motorbike overturned on the proper shoulder of the southbound lanes of U.S. 23. The auto experienced collided with a deer on the roadway, ejecting each riders.

The driver, Robert Schrake Jr., 61, and passenger, Susan Schrake, 60, both of those of Morral, Ohio, were being pronounced useless at the scene, troopers reported.

Neither person was wearing a helmet, officers mentioned. The crash remains less than investigation, but officers do not imagine alcoholic beverages to be a component.
