New museum exhibit introduces children to the automotive industry
‘Wheels on the Ground’ exhibit opens Saturday
The Children’s Museum of the Upstate in Greenville opens its newest exhibit, called “Wheels on the Ground” on Saturday, June 4. Museum officials said the state-of-the-art exhibit will introduce children and families to the exciting concepts of the racing and automotive industry, featuring a fully interactive pit crew station, various stations designed for building model cars, an engine repair simulation, and a life-size bus. “We feel very strongly that what happens here inside the building should reflect the larger community and we know that the automotive industry is such a significant part of the Upstate. We wanted to be sure that there was a really immersive way for children to interact with that industry on an age-appropriate level,” said Executive Director Lauren Luneckas. You can learn more here.
